The
above data shows the students’ achievement when there were
final official national examinations (towjyihiya) that
determined the students’ final standing in secondary school.
2007 was the last year those exams were given. Below are
the results of DAS students in the first class of students
whose final secondary status was determined by a Grade Point
Average (GPA) of their grades accumulated over the three
years of secondary school. Many students found this change
very challenging to their ideas of schooling and their level
of responsibility in the early years of high school.
